Hi! My name is Natalie. I am 36 years old and live in Katy, TX. I love Jesus. I love my family and I love my friends. I love coffee. And music. And being silly. I love to laugh. And I love to travel. I also love sweets. A little too much! I have been an Executive Assistant for 18 years, but my favorite job is being a mom to the coolest 12 year old this side of Texas! This page is all about my journey to finding a healthier me! Because...only I can shape me!
In the summer of 2014 I decided I wanted to get serious about getting back in shape. I had some friends who were following various Beach Body programs and they were seeing incredible results, so I decided the 21 Day Fix would be a good place to start. I originally created this blog to journal about my experience with the program. At 115lbs, my goal was not so much to lose weight, but to shed fat and develop muscle tone. Additionally, I have a love/hate relationship with junk food. I don’t believe in depriving yourself of anything, but sugar is like crack to me. If you have a sweet tooth, you get me. The 21 day fix helped me reach all my goals that summer. I was eating healthy, working out daily and I was even able to dive into more challenging programs like P90X3 and T25! I was really becoming proud of my body for the first time since becoming a mom!
Well that was almost 2 years ago my friends. Where have I been? I’ll tell you. I make no excuses. I’ve been camped out on Lazy Lane eating Oreos, that’s where. All that hard work feels down the drain right now. I could let that get me down or I could let it fuel me to get back up. I choose to get back up. I already know what giving up feels like. I want to know what happens if I don’t!
