21 days. 3 weeks. 1 day at a time. Clean eating. Portion control. Exercise. Every single day. This is the 21 day fix people. Being healthy and staying fit really is about eating the right amount of the right foods at the right time and exercising consistently. It’s not magic; it’s science.
The 21 Day Fix - What EXACTLY is this all about?
The 21 Day Fix is a nutrition and fitness program that makes losing weight so simple, anyone can do it. Easy-to-follow portion control and 30-minute workouts take the guesswork out of losing weight to help you see results fast—up to 15 pounds in just 21 days! This is the claim. I’m usually VERY skeptical about so called “claims” because if it were THAT easy, everyone would be doing it…right? Not necessarily. It does cost money (about $60 w/ a 100% money back 30-day guarantee). Here’s something to think about though. Are you spending money on fast food? How much do you think you spend dining out in one month? Is it making you healthier? Is it giving you the body you want? No, of course it’s not. And hey, guilty as charged here! I’ve been the queen of convenience the last 10 years and it shows! I may start showering in the dark! Anywho, I’ve heard that if you want different results you have to be willing to try something new so…enter the 21 day fix. I kept seeing everyone talking about it on facebook and I have two personal friends who are Beach Body coaches and I’ve watched them lose a combined 180lbs over the last year doing various Beach Body programs and watching what they eat. I knew that P90X and Insanity sounded way to extreme for me at my fitness level so when I read more about the fix I decided “what do I have to lose? If this sucks, I’ll just request my money back.” But just google “21 day fix results” images and see for yourself!! Real people are putting it out there for the world to see that following this plan…WORKS! Now, I do not have 15bls to lose here. Heck, I really don’t need to lose a single pound. But I have plenty of fat on my body and I’m determined to replace it with muscle. I want to love the way I look and feel in my swimsuit this summer…next summer…and the summer after that. I’ve made up my mind and like Joe, that is half the battle!
The 21 Day Fix - Who is that hot chick in the picture?
Autumn Calabrese is a celebrity fitness trainer, busy MOM, and national-level bikini competitor. Power to the moms ya’ll! And she is...HOT! Um, simmer down now. There is nothing wrong with a straight chick saying another chick is hot, mmmm k? I know I will never attain her figure, but I sure as hell can die trying. Kidding! I really do just want to be the best ME I can be! Autumn came up with the idea of a portion-control container system after watching a client eat an entire 1,300-calorie salad in one sitting because it was “healthy.” Autumn realized that super-sized portions were hurting her clients’ weight-loss success because they were eating too much without knowing it. So she developed portion-control containers to help people see how simple it is to eat the right amounts and lose weight easily. And as a single mom, Autumn understands how hard it can be to fit exercise and healthy eating into a jam-packed schedule. Right on! Her short, but effective workouts take only 30 minutes a day, along with a simple eating plan that doesn’t require you to spend hours in the kitchen. Ok hold the bus [sqqqqqqqqueeeeek]….I do have a couple of things to say about this. #1) Yes, naturally you could try just watching your portions during meals on your own without the containers. But hello? Been there, tried that, did NOT get the t-shirt. Kudos to you if you have mastered the art of portion control. You’re in the minority. Plus, the containers are colorful and cute! So there (yes, I’m sticking my tongue out!) #2) I wouldn’t say this doesn’t require much time in the kitchen. But, it’s only at first while you are planning your meals/snacks for the week. And I highly recommend you do this because then you do not have to think about it again until you go to plan week 2 and that should take even less time because you already have a good handle on what you liked to eat in week 1. Planning dinner takes the most time for me because I refuse to make seperate meals for the rest of the family. We will all eat the same thing. Period. The end.
Simplicity is the claim here. You don’t have to count calories, points, or log your food into diet software. With the 21 Day Fix, everything is laid out for you. All you have to do is use the specially designed portion-control containers and do one 30-minute workout per day. The 21 Day Fix workouts are designed to burn a lot of calories in only 30 minutes. Any fitness level can do them. If you’re a beginner, you can follow Kat, she is doing the modified version of the exercises. Kat’s my girl ;-) And she can totally do more crunches than I can!
“Commit to it for 21 days, and you’re going to love your results.” I guess we'll see...
The 21 Day Fix – What are MY goals?
1. I will love the way I look in my swimsuit and take my kiddo to the pool this summer and feel confident!
2. I will have more energy!
3. I willbe strong for the rest of my life!
4. I will kick my cravings for junk food for good and develop cravings for healthy foods!
5. I will quit snacking mindlessly when I’m bored and/or lonely! (any fellow emotional snacking bingers out there?? Holla!)
6. I will show my family that we can eat clean and it can taste good!
7. I will start showing my body some respect by exercising consistently!
