Like Ice Cube says, "Today was a good day". There were cookies in the kitchen at work. I showed those cookies who’s the boss and didn’t eat a one! It always feels good to say “no” to something that you typically have no self-control over.

Ok, so...Day 1 work out? Plyo Fix Extreme! What IS Plyo?
Short for Plyometrics. Simply put it means jump training. Plyometrics enhance our explosiveness, power, and body control. They teach us how to stretch our muscles before we contract them as we land after a jump. These types of jumping movements require the various muscle groups to work together all at once, which involves learning how to use the whole body as one unit quickly and aggressively. Autumn really cranks up the intensity with this workout!
I didn’t have a clue in the world what to expect when I pushed play. Right off the bat, I encountered new music (refreshing) and a new warm-up (equally refreshing). Autumn isn't kidding when she says she’s turned up the intensity in these workouts. If you are a beginner to fitness – this isn't the workout series for you. YET. Definitely start with the Original 21 Day Fix program. There are squat jumps and split squat jumps and burpees with a tuck jump and calf jumps and skater jumps. I felt like a Mexican jumping bean. You’re using weights with every exercise too. As with the original fix, you still don’t need a lot of room at all. Your living room is probably plenty of space. There are 5 rounds in this workout. 2 different exercises per round. And each exercise lasts 30 seconds with a 30 second rest in between to get water and shake it out. And you have to shake it out because after the first exercise…your legs will be burning! On. Fire. Y’all. FIRE! I focused on quality over quantity while still pushing myself to exhaustion. The last thing I want to do is injure myself, so I took my time in each interval taking care that my body was aligned properly and I was breathing. I surprised myself and felt like I really nailed this workout! Only occasionally did I need to follow Chariesse. Yes, there is still a moderator here!
