Before I started beachbody, I posted copious amounts of motivational pictures in places I would see frequently. The bathroom mirror, the pantry, the fridge, my bedroom closet, etc. I even created an 8.5x11 collage of various quotes and pictures to tuck in my purse and hang in my office to keep me motivated. And you know what? Looking at them all the time worked! But then I got to a point where I finally felt comfortable taking pictures of myself because my body was changing and I was starting to be more comfortable looking at myself in the mirror. And I made my own motivational pictures!
Now I use these pictures of MY OWN HEALTHY SELF when I get off track! And I have them to share with others who feel like they will never get there. You will! Transforming your body takes time and it can be a slow, painful process. There is no magic pill. I am not there yet. Sometimes I feel like I’m swinging on a pendulum because I go through phases where I’m really consistent and then I jump back into old habits and put a few back on. But I want to encourage you, as you take this journey, to take pictures of yourself. Don’t be afraid of the camera. As you reach new goals you set for yourself, you will be able to look back and say “wow…look at me now!” There is no shame in being proud of your accomplishments!
Say cheese, my friends!
